Fjord Line may change the terms and conditions for Fjord Club. For example, due to changes in statutory laws or regulations or changes in our services. So, please check the terms and conditions at regular intervals. Version: 1.5 Last updated: 11.12.2025

About Fjord Club

Fjord Club’s terms and conditions have been translated from Norwegian into several languages. The terms should be interpreted in accordance with Norwegian legislation. In the event of a conflict or disagreement, the Norwegian version applies. These terms and conditions are subject to Norwegian legislation.

Fjord Club is an offer for those who enjoy travelling with Fjord Line. As a Fjord Club member, you earn bonus points that can be used for future travel and services with Fjord Line. In addition, you receive exclusive member offers and invitations, as well as information tailored to your interests at Fjord Line.
Membership is free, applies to private individuals over 18 years of age, is personal and non-transferable.

1.1

Fjord Club Premium

Fjord Club Premium members get exclusive benefits. The Fjord Club Premium membership costs €18 for 12 months. Membership will be activated once payment of the membership fees has been registered.

1.2

Fjord Club Ambassador

Fjord Club Ambassador members gain access to exclusive benefits and the status is achieved by Premium members earning 1,000 points within 12 months. The Ambassador membership is valid for 12 months, provided the Premium membership is paid.

Activating membership

When you become a member, we ask you to register certain information about yourself so that we can serve you in the best possible way. To verify and activate your membership, you must confirm the information you have registered via an email/SMS from us.
Once the membership is activated, you receive your membership benefits by providing your Fjord Club membership at the time of booking. To obtain benefits on board, you must additionally identify yourself as a member with a membership card issued by Fjord Line.

Change of contact information

If your contact information changes, or you would like to change information in your profile, just log into My Fjord Club at fjordline.com. Please make sure you keep this information updated.

Termination of membership

You can terminate your Fjord Club membership at any time by calling Fjord Line on (+47) 51 46 40 99. The membership fee will not be refunded if the membership is terminated more than 14 days after joining and receiving information about the membership, including the information required under the Right of Withdrawal Act § 8, cf. § 11 first paragraph.
In cases of behaviour we consider undesirable or misuse of Fjord Line’s services, we reserve the right, at our discretion, to discontinue all marketing communication and/or terminate the membership without notice. Forfeited points will not be replaced.

5.

Earning and spending bonus points

Members earn points when travelling with Fjord Line on journeys booked directly with Fjord Line or via fjordline.com.
Your point balance is available in My Fjord Club after the trip is completed.
The Fjord Club membership must be provided at the time of booking/purchase, and it is the member who makes the booking/purchase who earns all points for the journey/purchase.
Points are awarded for travel and cabins, minus taxes and fees. No points are awarded for additional products, journeys paid in full or in part with points, or journeys paid with gift cards/free tickets or clip cards.
Points may be used to pay for travel and cabins. Points may not be used to pay for additional products, tax-free items or meals on board.
Members may pay or part-pay with earned points on a limited number of seats on selected journeys.
Bonus points must be used within 2 years from the date earned. Earned points are not credited if the membership is terminated.
Fjord Line disclaims any responsibility for a member’s tax obligations related to earned bonus points.

6.

Processing of personal information in Fjord Club

6.1

Consent to Processing

When you register as a member of Fjord Club, you consent to the processing of your personal and purchase data in accordance with the Personal Data Act §§ 8 and 9 and the membership rules stated above, as well as to receive email, SMS and postal communication from Fjord Line. If consent for receiving email, SMS or post is withdrawn, the database will be updated within 24 hours.

6.2

Purpose of Processing

Personal data collected in connection with the processing is used for customer service and marketing purposes. All use of personal data is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Data Act, including maintaining, managing, handling and developing the customer relationship.
Collected information is used only to fulfil and plan according to Fjord Line’s and partners’ obligations towards customers who have joined Fjord Club, including ensuring compliance with the membership terms.

6.3

Fjord Club Processes the Following Types of Personal Data

6.3.1 Customer Information
First and middle names, last name, date of birth, gender, nationality, street address, postal code, city, country, mobile phone number, email address, password and other information about travel preferences and information provided by the member in connection with competitions and campaigns.

6.3.2 Collection Information
Purchases (at article level) registered in the member profile. Visits when logged in to fjordline.com (name, time and IP address). Responses to marketing communications sent from the Fjord Club membership database.

6.4

Storage, Processing and Quality Assurance of Information

All information about each customer is registered and processed following consent from the customer when joining, or through later use of offers or purchases, as well as participation in competitions organised by Fjord Line. Information provided upon registration must be verified via email/SMS.
Fjord Line processes personal data in accordance with Norwegian law.
To maintain good data quality and comply with privacy legislation, Fjord Line may terminate Fjord Club memberships and delete all personal information if the membership has been inactive for more than 3 years.
All information is secured in accordance with the security requirements of § 13 of the Personal Data Act. Information is stored in databases protected by firewalls, passwords and other technical measures. Databases and backups are stored in locked and monitored facilities and are available only to specifically authorised personnel.
Personal data can no longer be linked to the customer once the customer has removed the information from the register.

6.5

Right of Access

The registered individual has the right, according to § 18 of the Personal Data Act, to check what information is stored about them in the register. A signed request for access must be sent to Fjord Line AS.
